Moving a Multifaceted Federal Education Policy Agenda Forward

The Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) has developed a multifaceted federal education agenda that affects several federal laws moving on different tracks. Policy Strategies and Solutions consults with the APTS government relations office to ensure that the APTS policy agenda is included in related pieces of legislation currently under consideration in Congress.
Policy Strategies and Solutions provides ongoing, dynamic consultation and support to APTS staff. We partner with APTS during legislative negotiations, advocacy work and outreach and in other strategic areas relating to its education vision. When a policy issue emerges, we ensure that APTS has a prompt, effective response. We assist APTS in developing talking points, PowerPoint presentations, Q&A and fact sheets — critical implementation tools needed to address constituent, partner and congressional requests.
Working together, APTS and Policy Strategies and Solutions have seen APTS agenda items introduced in congressional bills and included at various stages of legislation moving in Congress.
